Joel Olawanle

About Me

I'm a Software Engineer and Technical Writer with over five years of experience building developer education, documentation, and content for APIs, PaaS/SaaS platforms, and open-source products.

Currently, I'm a Technical Writer & Editor at Kinsta/Sevalla, where I own API documentation, changelogs, and release-driven content pipelines that help agencies and developers automate and manage infrastructure at scale.

I've authored over 350 technical tutorials, guides, and documentation used by millions of developers across Kinsta, Sevalla, freeCodeCamp, Hygraph, CSS-Tricks, and other leading platforms. I have a strong background in building products, API design, CI/CD workflows, and community-driven developer education.

Beyond writing, I'm an experienced speaker, community builder, and mentor. I've built two Open Source Community Africa chapters from scratch and led frontend training programs that have helped dozens of developers start their careers.
